If you wear shoes in conditions they weren't build to handle they will get ruined. It's kind of like asking about a good tuxedo to go swimming in. There is only one sensible option for winter footwear (I would suggest taking the trip to NH for the custom build ones tho', well worth the extra $ and wait).

Uh, don't wear them in the snow, get cheap snowboats and save your nice shoes for when you arrive at work.

If you insist on going clubbing during a snowstorm in your expensive shoes, then, sorry, I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for your 'dilemma' which is easily solved by common sense (e.g. take taxis or don't wear the damn things in inclement weather). I have to wonder if this post is really about your 'dilemma', or are you really just interested in telling us about your fancy shoe collection.

Wear boots and put the nice shoes in your bag. Change shoes at the office. That's what I do.
