For Cole Haan and Allan Edmonds you can go to SYMS. I bought Cole Haan for $80 ($230 retail) and Allan Edmonds for $160 ($350 retail). I bought the Cole Haan at the Niles location and the Allan Edmonds at the Addison location. You can also find suits by Hugo Boss, Burberry. Lower end suits there would be Ralph Loren or Austin Reed (made by Hart Shafner, still decent suit).

For reference, I bought $1600 Hickey Freeman suit for $450 there (best deal I have ever gotten) and $800 Hart Shafner suit there for $400. The stuff there isn't always the most trendy or stylish but a black or gray suit from 2006-07 is essentially the same as one from 2008.

While we don't live in Chicago, my wife wears non-designer brand to and from work, but while at work wears the nice name brand shoes.
