There is only one way to settle the White Sox vs Cubs score. And that is at a future World Series between the two teams, to crown the king of Chicago baseball.

There are plenty. There are also many bars that cater to Mexicans,as well as Central Americans and South Americans where soccer is on the T.V. all the time.

From my southside rowhouse in Milwaukee greenbay is like 2hrs away I can be downtown Chicago in an hour and in the suburbs in 25mins. Plus Milwaukee is filled with "FIB's" all my neighbor's are all from Chicago and it was the same thing when I lived in my last building. Why are Chicago people moving up here?

Anyways I love the Bears, I just wish CBS Milwaukee would get its head out of its.... and stop showing Buffalo games instead of Bear games.

Because the cost of living and housing is much cheaper in Milwaukee.

Why the hell would they show Buffalo games up there?

not to mention they apparently have finance jobs there.

Phooey, people from Charlotte might be moving there! Then, you'd have to put up with Panthers fans!

On a national scale, the Cubs are more popular than the Bears. Being terrible for a long time will make a lot of people delusional and feel sorry for them. Yes they have some transplanted Chicagoans and people that caught on watching them on WGN too over the years. To answer the subject of the thread though, the Bears are the most popular team in Chicago. I'm basing this on quantity of fans, not undeserved hype. If we base popularity on undeserved hype, yes the Cubs win hands down. The Cubs are the most popular team in pro sports if we judge it based on that, more than the Yankees or Red Sox, because unlike the Cubs they've actually earned being the popular kids on the block by winning over the years. Even with the Red Sox World Series drought not ending until 2004, they still contiuously produced competitive teams. Also, I don't think any other fan base in baseball continuously has "It's gonna happen" posters and shirts all around their ballpark and neighborhood beginning in the first month of a season in which the team gets swept in the first round of the playoffs.

As someone else said the Cubs tend to have a bit of a cultlike, and also a national follwing. In Chicago baseball is divided between the Cubs & White Sox, while most everyone here likes the Bears. So, on a national level (which probably means more money) it's the Cubs, but locally it's the Bears.

Milwaukee City, CBS in Milwaukee won't show Bears game because CBS only has the contract to show AFC games, Fox has the NFC games. The only time the Bears would be on CBS is if an AFC team comes to Soldier Field to play them. I'm sure Fox Milwaukee will always show the Packers over the Bears.
