Try Loehmans. They have some beautiful gowns. For my daughter's last dance I bought a $400 Kay Unger dress for $60.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. We found a dress at LAmour (sp?) in Barrington. I had heard a lot about Peaches, but if the dress needed alterations (which it did) I really wanted some place closer. Boy are prom dresses at little shops expensive, this one was over $300, even with their anniversary discount!! The girls (teens) helping were all very nice and my daughter found a dress she really liked and they said that there wouldn't be anyone else at the school with the same dress, so she was happy. Also bought the shoes and garder belt ($20 for a $1.00 garter, didn't know about this tradition) there. Also, FYI any soccer players there is a great soccer store on the way there! Soccer Plus I believe. Again, thanks for your help.
