1/4th of the time... that's pretty ambitious for a city employee.

Working 1/4 of an 8 hour shift for the city instead of 1/8 of an 8 hour shift is "Change we need."

Atrill and I have hired the Drew Peterson and helmet hair PR firm in advance of our co-appointment. We will have Bill Clinton in charge of parties, festivities, and vacations. Dick Cheney will be our political strategist.

Actually I think Huberman will at the very least improve the Chicago schools slightly while Arne Duncan will worsen many schools around the country greatly.

Apparently someone is beyond ignorant with their knowledge on the subject.

Ideally you'd like someone who has has the management skills without the baggage, but based on my work in the private sector that is a very rare thing.

Looking at what Huberman has done so far I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but keep an eye on him. Brown could be a very good replacement.
There has definitely been improvements with him in charge - but there's so much MORE that needs to be done. I don't really want to see anything move backwards.

Yet another unqualified CEO pick by Daley, like Duncan was. Although he wouldn't be able to be hired in any other school district in Illinois, since he isn't eligible for a superintendent's endorsement, he will be by Chicago.

Damn, I actually liked Huberman a lot as head of the CTA. How wonderful for the CTA they can throw him in there...and then just rip him out a few years later.

Who the hell is gonna run the CTA now? Can't they just leave one enough alone.

I do think Huberman is some nice eye candy though.
