Maybe the IL GOP can bring back Andy Martin (i.e. Anthony Robert Martin-Trigona)? The only man found by the IL bar to be too nuts to be a lawyer. But he ran often as a Republican!

I did not say they are the same thing. I asked the OP where was the outrage from he/she was when Obama made his comments and laughed off the economic crisis.

The OP could not and did not respond.

I would say I won here.

For the record I think Obama is a nutjob.

So sue me.

...and the most incompetent elected official I have ever seen is a Democrat named Todd Stroger.

Mayor Daley could not even pass the bar on his first try,but a little help from his dad's friends "fixed" that.

Your point is what?

Im not a lawyer, and im apathetic toward daley.

That said, is it that uncommon not to pass the bar on the first try? I've heard that is not too surprising if one fails the bar exam on the first attempt.

I believe he failed at least twice. I have to go check...

"I flunked the bar exam twice," said Daley, referring to the state licensing test for attorneys. "I had to keep studying harder and harder and harder. I passed it the third time."

Well, he went to depaul, which has 87 % of its graduates pass the bar on the first exam. This percentage is from 06-07, so it may not be comparable to how long ago daley got his degree.
