OK. I must admit I find Jerry Springer amusing for about 5 minutes at a time. Even though it doesn't keep my attention, I hate to see him leave Chicago.

And I've never even heard of the other show leaving, "Steve Wilkos"?

Question. Do you feel sad or glad these shows are departing Chicago?
Should the City have given tax credits to keep them?

Steve is the old security guard from the show.

Yes, I am embarrassed for knowing that.

I can't imagine that Jerry Springer Show would survive in New England. But one never knows.

I thought Stamford was considered a commuter city outside NYC. I will have to look it up.

Perhaps it technically is New England. But not the New England I think of (which is much more Bostonian).

I'm not a fan of the show, but isn't this a bad thing for the city? forget about the quality of the show, it was a major production based in the city. is this going to be a theme where other productions leave Chicago in search of better tax cuts in other cities? lots of other cities are trying to entice Hollywood and other forms of media to their town; will Chicago be pushing them away by not offering better benefits?

I am curious as to whether these two shows approached the City of Chicago and asked them if they would "match" the tax cuts offered by Stamford.

If so, did Daley reject them.

I am not sure who, in Chicago, ultimately approves such a tax cut to incentive a business. Whether it requires a city council vote or if it is just something the Mayor can do..

He is also a former CPD cop.

Should I be embarrassed I know this?
