Why wasn't this given more media coverage and publicity by the Chicago media? Was it because it was countering the golden boys' stimulus package and God forbid should anyone say anything negative about Obama in Chicago?

Every time King Daley or the Race Baiter Jesse Jackson hold an anti-gun protest, the Chicago media turns out like they discovered the cure for cancer.

Of course! I was at the rally and I was really dissapointed by the mediocre report by NBC at 10PM.

I am not surprised in the least. Even the local Fox affiliate is pretty weak in terms of really challenging the establishement and reporting newsworthy topics. They seem to parry all the other week kneed local new sations in that they just regurgitate the local left wing political slant from Daily and the Obamatrons.

Small protests are rarely covered on the local news, I lean much more to the left, and participated in a few protests against the Iraq war when it started, and none of them were really covered either. However, they were small disorganized protests run by nitwits that I'm embarrassed I had anything to do with, so I can't say I blame the news for ignoring us. From what I've heard of the 'tea protest' it was much of the same, but on the right.

Oh, and ccjarider, it is spelt "Daley" if you are going to take him on, and be taken seriously, at least learn how to spell his name correctly.

You guys DO live in Chicago, right??

Enough said.

(if not, read a little of the city's history. That should give you a clue)

Evidently not, your meaning is unclear and I've a shelf full of Chicago history books.

Yeah it is b.s.

About 200-400 rallied two weeks ago in support of gay marriage. It was all over the news in Chicago.

At least 500 rallied at for the Chicago Tea Party. It was virtually ignored by the local media.

It wasn't newsworthy. So it wasn't covered.

Chicago is a large city. Protests happen routinely at Federal Plaza or Daley Plaza, and most of them don't get coverage.

Exactly.

Quit whining and playing the victim. It's unbecoming for a group of people who like to chastise others for whining and playing the victim.
