You know the answer to this, so why even ask?...... Edgewater!

P.S. This a FACT, not an OPINON!

I'd have to agree with Norwood Park for the good schools up there alone...

I would have to agree.

You could probably devise a way to quantitatively prove this using data from Craigslist and Walk Score. Add bonus points for access to the Red Line and the lake front.

aw man i just lost a post i spent a while posting, so here it is in brief. End of the day it was really nice, saw some cool bars. But it is very far, and his work is not on the brown line. So we will see! Also Edgewater we checked out. It gets too suburban north of Foster. On & around Foster it is urban but overpriced still.

Edgewater is suburban? I have to disagree strongly. Prior to the recent condo boom in Streeterville, Edgewater had the highest population density of any neighborhood in Chicago. Western Edgewater (west of Broadway) does feel a bit suburban--particularly in the Lakewood-Balmoral district. But Andersonville is as dense as most Chicago neighborhoods away from the lake.

By the way, all of Edgewater is north of Foster. Foster is the southern border of Edgewater.

Suburban?......... Compared to what? Mannhattan?.... Edgewater is very urban and walkable, to say it's "suburban", is LAUGHABLE!
