I like big, crowded cities. I've visited Chicago a few times, and while I had fun it didn't really have that "crowded" feeling. I was thinking this may've been because I was just visiting and didn't see enough of it.

It has the third highest population density (among large US cities) after NYC and SF. Obviously this id distributed unevenly. Certain neighborhoods along the north lakefront have densities equivalent to Brooklyn, other parts of the city are near desolate as a result of urban decay.

"Once upon a time, a long long time ago, a foreign traveler immigrated to the United States while the INS was out for a legislated stroll.

The traveler came first upon NYC, but it was too big.

'I can't find anything, what unbelievable rent and why does everything smell like urine?' The trraveler said to himself.

And so the traveler moved to Los Angeles, the second largest city in the US.

'It's just like Detroit but with palm trees,' the traveler said. 'Why would anyone pay to live in this cultural vacuum, and why does everything smell like urine? Where is my car?' The traveler mused to himself.

And so he moved to the third largest city in the US: Chicago. It smelled of chocolate, the rent was reasonable and with the crowded but maneuverable streets, it felt just right.

Later that day, the INS agents returned to find the traveler in 'their' bed, but they decided to experiment because they were sick of the same men in the same social scene.

Also, coldwine likes her own happy endings, and everybody lived happily ever after until the traveler was kicked out of the bed the next morning and told to make waffles or get the hell out.

The End."

You want crowded? Go to Hydrate on a Saturday night. I am sure you will like it there.

Is it just me, or is this very accurate? Especially on Grand near the river: it always smells like freshly baked brownies over there.

Accurate .. Blommer Chocolate Factory ... I think they're still producing .. they had a few issues with accidents and an INS incident, but they were still deodorizing the west loop/fulton area recently

I wanna to move to that area just because of the smell haha...is there a cookie/chocolate factory somewhere around there?
The strongest smell of chocolate is when you're under the train tracks (I think they're train tracks), right off halsted...one street north of Buddha Lounge (not sure what this little street is)

He he, so so far I've learned from this thread that if I'm dieting I shouldn't live near the Blommer Chocolate Factory? :P
