I have seen some thoughts about this and was wondering what your opinion is. People on this forum have some idea that Chicago is some slow paced Mayberry type of place. Granted these people are a minority but I would like your opinion and what you base it on.

Not at all. Chicago is the third biggest city in the world. It's a very densely populated area including most of the suburbs. Illinois is rural, but the Chicago area is the complete opposite

Anyway, Chicago is medium-paced. Slower than London, NY, HK and so forth. Faster than most places.

Come to New Britain, CT if you wanna see slow-paced "city" life.
Chicago is certainly not slow paced or 'country,' and I cannot wait until I move back to the Windy City.
NB is a soul-sucking drudgery of nothinghappensness...
