Hi everyone!
my name is Eleni from Cyprus and I need help. I will be in chicago for one month (6/28-8/1) and I am looking to rent a fully furnished apartment for this period. I am coming for a course at uic dental school so I need a place not very far away ( around 30 min by public transport) a safe area with things to do in a close area( shops restaurants etc.)
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Eleni

I have used vrbo.com several times in the past. They are not a rental agency, but they have many furnished apartments listed and you can get in touch with the owners of the apartments you're interested in to ask questions about location etc.

Definitely, a sublet on CL will be MUCH cheaper than "regular" short-term offers, including apts on sites like vrbo.com.

there should be a ton of offers for over the summer too with all the college kids here that don't want to deal with moving their stuff into storage while they are visiting their folks.

there is no average price. a nice neighborhood can cost you 2,400 for a nice size 2 bedroom, in a cheap neighborhood with some saftey, transportation, amenity problems you may be able to get a two bedroom for $800.
