My husband and I took a ride downtown tonight, walked along the lakefront, then the riverfront, back to the Planetarium. When it got dark, we saw it and took pictures: Hawks WIN! Then on the CNA bldg. the Blackhawk logo and the Stanley Cup. So cool. I love this city!

And the Pony Inn is in Lake View. West Lake View to be exact. Not Roscoe Village. Damn these transplant reporters.
I just saw on the news that there were fans at (or outside) the Pony Inn, at 8am drinking and fraternizing with the team. How do people find this stuff out? I don't think I would of been able make it over there anyway, but damnit, I want to drink out of the cup too!

It is common knowledge to die hard Hawks fans and people in the know that the Pony Inn has been one of the top Blackhawks bars of choice since it was converted from the old Irish "dive" Gunther Murphy's (which I liked) into the Pony Inn.

I had read that about that place, but it just never occurred to me they'd head over there at 8am. Oh well...sure it was fun!

They were at the Underground last night. I've never understood the attraction to that place. It's cheesy. Billy Dec is just good at taking care of celebrities, I suppose.

My 17 year old knucklehead son is down there at the parade today with his 17 y/o knucklehead friend. I only hope they don't get themselves into trouble. He said it was a madhouse at 7:30 this a.m.
