Sucks to lose Buff after his playoff performance the past few years, but this was about the best deal the Hawks could have hoped to made. Every player they lost they can somewhat replace internally, while still shedding 5 million off the cap, and getting a decent prospect and 1st round pick in return.

Of all the deals the Hawks could have made, I can live with this one.

Let's see what else happens.

And thank God Keith's Norris doesn't count against the cap, now I don't have to feel bad about him winning it.

As I posted in another thread.

Thanks to the Hawks for winning the cup. I got to see it when Jonathan Toews brought it back to Winnipeg to share with his home town.

BTW he got super hero treatment when he came back home.
