Just an update on this post. So last night I guess Milton Bradley had a decent game. The hosts on whatever baseball show my husband watches say the following during the highlights --

guy 1:"So tonight they love him, tomorrow they'll hate him"
guy2: "Milton Bradley says he was racially mocked there in Chicago, look for him to turn it on in September, if not for the Cubs then for him"

As if Bradley's performance is somehow directly related to the way the crowd reacts to him.

Scottie Pippen claimed racism at the very same time Michael Jordan was the most beloved athlete in Chicago history. This thread needs to have the term - alleged - in the title.

Chicago does have its racists though, it is home to Jesse Jackson AND Louis Farrakhan, what other city has to deal with that?!!!
When's the last time you saw Jesse or Louis at a ball game racially taunting a white ballplayer?

Default Milton Bradley summary

At what point was it the beginning of the end? Was it when he thought it was 2 outs and threw the ball into the bleachers ?

Not a cubs fan, but the dude has been trouble wherever he has gone. He gives you Manny Ramirez headaches without the Manny Ramirez performance. Add that to the Chicago Cubs and it isnt going to be pretty.

Yeah, when they picked up Bradley and got rid of DeRosa, those Cub fans who aren't perpetual optimists knew this season was going nowhere. Now if they can find a way to get rid of that deadweight Soriano....
