It would be a rental car, and I would never leave valuables in it.

The neighborhood around this station looks to be a typical, OK, middle-class area unless you're mooting something else.

Mooting something else? What does that mean?

What strikes me here is you're renting a car just to leave it sitting for a couple of days, which sounds the 'waste of money' alarm in my head. Is it practical to turn the car in for those couple days and then rent one a couple days later when you need a car again? I'm guessing that might involve one-way rentals, which I suppose could get a bit expensive.

Anyway, the fact that it's a rental car would lead me to re-emphasize the need for insurance, whether it's coverage purchased through the agency as part of your rental or covered by your own policy. There's about a 99% chance that nothing will happen to the car but that 1% can be damned expensive if you're not covered.
