Thank god she carries that fire and sass into the bedroom, or I'd have left her YEARS ago.

Things I love about Chicago:

1. You can read quotes such as this on the Chicago board:

Quote:

2. It's June and it's still in the 50s and 60s (for clarification I am not being factious).
3. Associated with #2, cool breezes off the lake.
4. The architecture
5. The diversity
6. Not owning a car
6a) Zipcar
7. Opportunity
8. The beaches
9. I can walk not even 2 minutes and get roasted duck from an authentic Thai restaurant. Oh yeah, there's also Middle Eastern, Mexican, a corner dive-y burger joint etc etc in the area.
10. You can actually find people around here who like the NBA.
11. Almost every single music act swings through here when on tour.
12 Cedar Point is only 5 hours away.
13. Obama
14. The fact that even though this is a major world class city, it is still located in the American midwest.
15. Yes I know some people hate it, but I like the smoking ordinance. Bars can actually feel somewhat clean!

A couple of things that I find either weird, strange, different, funny, or am not quite used to yet:

1. Though I like Chicago style pizza, I can't find any St. Louis style pizza around anywhere; aaaagggghhhh!!! Help on that one anyone? On that note, Italian food is crowded out since there's so much other good stuff.
2. The flying saucer that the Bears play in is apparently proof that there is extraterrestrial life.

^^ Well I don't mind that we've been hanging around the low 60s -- I haven't used any form of climate control in my apartment for about a month now -- but it sure would be nice to see the sun now and again. I feel like I woke up in Seattle.
