Wow, what a heated thread!

I've been going to this parade for 10 years, and in the end 95% of people are just going and doing what they do normally. Just 100X as much of it at once. And with floats in the street.

People aren't going to shove anything in anyone's face or to make some huge point. If they were shoving it in straight people's faces.....they probably wouldn't be holding it in the heart of a gay neighborhood. They'd run the parade down Western from Fullerton to 31st Street or something....

I'm looking forward to it though! I just do what everyone else I know does at the parade - gay and straight. They get together with friends, have drinks, enjoy being outside, and enjoy the day.

The Pride parade has become more toned down and conservative throughout the years. It was a lot wilder in the past. You see a lot more families and kids nowadays and less risque.

I wish.

No, it was more just a big party with drinking and a more 20-45 year old crowd. I do agree now you're running over freaking strollers, the elderly and basically "tourists" who come out to see what's going to happen.

It's like a twilight zone festival now.

I wore this cheerleading outfit to last year's parade and someone took a pic of me with a girl as a souvenir. I will wear it to this year's parade also. I just hope it doesn't rain on the parade or else I'll just have to wear rain gear. Will bike there too on my bmx bike.

But one thing is that I don't like butch dykes. And I don't beleive in homosexuality and I have no gay friends. I view myself as a straight crossdresser instead.

^^^ If you don't "believe" in homosexuality, why do you go the gay pride parade?
