If you're going to post on C-D, then it's best to post on city/state forums like these. There are going to be disagreements, but usually they're relatively mild, and they're no repercussions.

The political threads on C-D are quite toxic, though; if you wander over there once in a while, it's OK, but lingering only brings out the worst in people.It gets nasty right from the get-go.

I tend to hang around the Chicago, General US and City-vs City forums, with some time in the Boston forum (usually trying to help strangers find a decent city/neighborhood to live in), and forays into the Vermont (Burlington) and Wisconsin (Madison/Milwaukee) forums, and various forums on whim ( LA, Minneapolis, etc).

If you want on info on Chicago, then this forum is truly the place to go; some people have this city pegged right down to the corner store, or the local playground.They can tell you, in mid-block, if a neighborhood is changing, for better or for worse, and that can be very important.

i think he checks in from time to time but lately i havent really been on here enough to know( except for the past few days).
