Not to long ago I read gang leader for a day, basically where a college graduate student happens to fall in with the leader of a street gang that ran a few buildings in the robert taylor. I think 3 or 5. His gang was identified as the black kings? although in the ending info he states he did not use the gangs real name, however throughout the book he names gangs as the GD's who had the most building in robert taylor, which i'd believe, he also mentions the mickey cobras having a few which i dont know if they had buildings but i know they existed. Basically my question is what gangs actually did control robert taylor, also who controlled the two different projects right next to robert taylor, statway gardens and ickes? im not from chicago im from Indianapolis In. However im always interested in group and living dynamics and how people get by in bad situations, if you've never read this book it gives a good explination of how and why people deal with what they do and choose (or dont) choose to live in bad situations. So im not trying to gather this info because i want to know who was the biggest or baddest gang im just curious as to how to groups would split territory in the same projects, i know they were huge but still?
