Pink Shirt - was Johny S the owner during Saturday Night Fever days? If so ask him if he remembers Louie. My husband used to do the Saturday Night Fever routine every weekend at Bubba's and would have challengers and have dance offs. We have often thought that we would like to have a reunion of the Bubba's Zone One Disco days. Tell him Sue and Lou say Hi.

According to an old Chicago Tribune article, Cinderella Rockefella was located "at the Woodfield Hilton and Towers Hotel northeast of Rohlwing Road and Euclid Avenue" in Schaumburg. Allstate Trainees Will Be In Good Ands At Renovated Complex - Chicago Tribune

NIMBUS! Awww the good ole days.

My very first was Poison Apple (the first one). Not the one resurrected at Point East or whatever that place was...the one that had the dj climbing the tables while lipsynching "give me your dirty love" or something like that?

Well i don't know if this fits disco music - but there was the Kinetic Playground over on Lawrence and Sheridan area, they had psychodelic music on the walls, and on Lincoln was AA Meat Market near Belmont, that was a leather bar, then there was a bar on Diversey and Clark near Ballys' it had a name like "pink" or "flamingo" (maybe it was Pink Flamingo??). I think it was in the building that Bed Bath and Beyond is in now. Well then there was Old Town before it got sanitized to what it is today. That was when Pipers Alley had all the black light posters, and we picked up The Seed underground newspaper, Thats all i can remember. I think the above was more hippie stuff

Not Disco, but anyone remember "Erik the Reds" on 111th st. in the Mt. Greenwood area? It was a big 80's club. They had a slide that went from the second floor to the dance floor below.
