I would rent near a temple, attend & network if it were important to me... Hope you find the neighborhood you're looking for

Also, maybe temples are online & then you could email them & ask.

It really would be quite ironic if JDate discriminated along racial/ethnic/religious lines considering that many of the members of JDate are self-professed liberals and democrats claiming the wonders of diversity.
Hello Geobag, long time no read. Well, not really.

There is a temple on Melrose and Broadway in Lakeview. I've put a couple of Jewish clients near there so they could be close to that temple.

It's actually a bit further north at Stratford and LSD. And there's another one at Pine Grove and Grace (with a large school attached). A Jewish friend of mine jokingly calls this area "The Ghetto", though it is certainly a mix of all different people. I think it was more Jewish in the past, and there are many older Jewish people in the high-rises near there--all the way up to the Imperial Towers in Buena Park.

Yes it was. My Uncle (who is in his 80's) specifically has told me this many times.

On a side note:
He also told me the Hotel Chateau used to be visited by many gangsters and gamblers. I do not know if you know this but there used to be a huge nightclub/casino on the land on the southwest corner of Grace and Halsted. I posted more info on this complex in another thread:

If this place still stood there would be no problem for the OP finding a young, rich, Jewish man at that club!!!

...A side note.... I'm not looking for a rich man. I'm attending school to become an obstetrician, so I'll be fine financially. I just like the physical features of 'some' Jewish men.

No...I'm telling you, there's a temple in the middle of Melrose, between Broadway and LSD. I think the address is 540 W. Melrose.

Anywho, to the Shiksa (OP): Chicago has a good sized Jewish population, but unless you're looking in West Ridge, the population is pretty spread out. I would focus more on what's important to you in terms of neighborhood, price, commute to class, etc. If you are interested in a Jewish man, I would suggest attending temple, or signing up for JDate. BTW, I know what you mean: I think Adrien Brody and Jeff Goldblum are super sexy. Good luck with everything!

Yes. You are correct. I have been there before.
