Has anyone had any experience using NACA for home purchases in the Chicago Area? Please give all good bad feedback. So far I've only heard good things about this program. Please let me know your thoughts on this.

I just closed on my first home and we used NACA. We are in the Charlotte, NC area. Though it took 3 months, it was worth all the faxing and being tight on our budget. We closed with a 1.5% interest rate on a $199,500 house... We pay $863/month. House like this, we should be paying $1,200-1,300/month.

Ok, yes. That's where I first heard about that program being successful.
Apparently it is successful in some places but not all. Thanks for the feedback and God bless in your new home

I closed on my home here in Texas using NACA and would highly recommend it. My rate is better than any of my friends who have recently purchased.

What is NACA? Is it available for current homeowners to refinance? Can I use it if I sell my existing home and want to finance another home with it?

Thanks!

Beware all buyers and sellers, do not use. Waiting for home for over three months in chicago. They use their own "people". If it wasn't a government backed program we would question them using unfair business practices. Beware... Do not use.. Danger.

NACA, Chicago has cost both the seller and buyer thousands of dollars in delays.
NACA Homebuyers Program, makes sure the people working for them come back again and again. Once you buy the property you have to use their people!
From contractor to inspector to appraiser are all their people.
BEWARE

Default Not pretty.

I tried to purchase through NACA to no avail. First visit, bring this. Second visit, bring that. Third visit, bring the other... I mean, they could tell you to bring all you need at once, on the first visit. It seems to me they are not professionals. And after a while, when you expect to hear from them, no calls, no mail. No anything.
So, I call my representative 4-5 times. She is not available 4-5 times. She will call you back as soon as possible. Yeah, in my dreams !!!
Point is, maybe I don't qualify for what I want, where I want it.
That's ok. Just let me know.
How hard is that? Dont' waste your time. Dont' waste my time.

For all those waiting for NACA approval. YOU MUST GIVE YOUR MEMBER NUMBER AND FIND OUT YOUR BANKING LOAN OFFICERS NAME!! NOT NACA LOAN PERSON. OTHER WISE YOU WILL WAIT IF YOU DONT INTERVENE. IT'S NOT 100 DAYS AND COUNTING!!

This is very cruel.
