That story is just awful. Who subscribes to mob mentality like that? A fair fight is one thing but ****ing beating a kid to death with sticks and fists! Crazy.

I'm wondering why there isn't more outrage over the fact that kid got beaten to death on the streets at 3pm by a savage mob. I would have expected some public response from the police chief or mayor or something (oh, I forgot, mayor's in Denmark...)

Also, it's not Lincoln Park. That's right, I went there.
A lot of these kids that do get killed are in no way shape or form part of a gang or bad seeds, just innocents that do get caught in the crossfire, or targeted because they in fact chose not to go that path.

Was it last year that that teenager who played guitar in his church's band was gunned down in the church parking lot in Roseland? Seemed to be the same thing, mistaken identity or the like. Victims are dealt a bad hand by being young, black and killed in a **** neighborhood. Only leads to the worst kind of assumptions about how their lives were lead and not nearly the outrage these kinds of crimes deserve.

I've known guys that have gotten jumped and beaten because they turned down opportunties to be involved with certain people. Damned if you do, damned if you don't in a lot of these cases. Sucks.
