How safe is the area around Ohio st & Milwaukee Ave?
My Girlfriend & I Looking at an apartment in the area.
Anybody familiar with that area?
Its a stone throw from the Kennedy Expressway and the area looks like a WINNER to us

It's okay nowadays.

10 years ago you could of told your friends you lived a couple blocks away from the most dangerous projects in the nation.

That area should be fine. I live not that far away at Fulton and Canal and have walked to the bars there. Richard's Bar and Emmit's Irish Pub are two fun and very popular places right on Grand/Milwaukee.

Ohio and Milwaukee is pretty safe. Go for it. I don't even know why these people are bringing up Cabrini Green, it's roughly a mile away. And slated for demolition.

Yea, that area is as good as any in Chicago. I wouldn't think twice about walking around there at any hour.

I thought they were talking about the housing project on the corner of Noble St & Chestnut
But that one don't look violent to me
