MODS, I MEANT TO PUT THIS IN THE SOCCER FORUM, PLEASE MOVE WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE.

Here is the list that the US World Cup Bid Committee is looking at as possible sites for the 2018 / 2022 bid process. What cities do we think will get selected?

St. Louis
Los Angeles
Atlanta
Baltimore
Boston
Charlotte, N.C.
Chicago
Cleveland
Dallas
Denver
Detroit
Houston
Indianapolis
Jacksonville
Kansas City, Mo.
Orlando
Miami
Nashville, Tenn.
New York City
Oakland, Calif
Philadelphia
Glendale-Phoenix, Ariz.
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle
Tampa
Washington D.C.

My guess would be that we would have around 14-15 cities chosen (FIFA requires 12-18.)

My Picks

Guarantees

New York
Chicago
Los Angelas

Very Likely

Dallas
Houston
San Diego
San Francisco
Miami
Phoenix
Seattle
Boston

Possible

Philadelphia
Washington D.C.
Nashville
Orlando (Only if Miami doesnt get it)
Oakland (Only if San Fran doesnt get it)

Those are the 14 I see being included in the bid. I left out alot of cities primarily because they only have domed stadiums. I know detroit had one the last go around (and its certainly possible we may have one dome chosen) but i'm just not a fan of soccer indoors. I dont see Kansas City getting picked mainly because I think Chicago will be the only midwest selection.

Some cities I just see as not being globally attractive to host the games. I was kind of surprised to see Minneapolis not on the list. I thought it would be a great location and have perfect weather around the time of the world cup.
