Anyone happen to be aware of any place that might have flu shots left? I mean regular flu; I'm giving up on getting the H1N1 shot before I even try.

I've put it off because the $25 is a bit much, but I really need to get it. I go to Community Health for continuing care (prescription refills, basically) because getting an appointment means waiting a month... IF they have shots left, I'd have to wait a month to see a doctor who would write a prescription for the shot even though it's given at the facility, and there'd be another month before I could get an appointment to get it.

All the pharmacies seem to be out (Jewel, CVS, etc) and haven't seemed to think they'll even get any more, which seems strange.

I received the seasonal flu shot 3 days ago at Walgreen's. The pharmacist said they don't plan to order more seasonal vaccine as their focus will be on H1N1 going forward (although Walgreen's hasn't received H1N1 yet).

If you don't mind a drive, call the CVS on Western in Lake Forest. We got vaccinated there over the weekend. They may still have some left.

This is for H1N1 only.

Anyone (that is an Illinois resident) that is in the high risk group can go to Skokie on certain days next week. They are sharing their unused vaccines to people in high risk groups.

"Vaccines will be given by appointment only to pregnant women, individuals between 6 months and 24 years old, people 25 to 64 with underlying medical conditions, health care workers and caregivers of children under 6 months.

No walk-ins will be accepted."

Go to Village of Skokie, Skokie, IL to make an appointment.

Kudos to Skokie for sharing!

I got my H1N1 shot at one of the city clinics. It was a long wait, but it was important to us because my wife was pregnant at the time. I got my regular flu shot at CVS a couple of months ago.

I got a shot last week at one of Dominick's pharmacy. The pharmacist had told me that they had been out of the seasonal shots but just got in another shipment so try them. The day before I received an H1N1 from my own doctor but his practice had run out of the seasonal vaccine.
