Students Denied By Mother's Bar Allege Racism And Demand Change; Group Threatens Lawsuit
Pretty lame. I'm black and don't really frequent the...I'll just say, the "white joints" in the city, more into the diverse places, but I wouldn't have been so quick to call it racist until they had white friends sport the same clothing they wore and get in easily.

That type of thing has been going on in north side bars for decades. The explanation is that the owners do not want unescorted black males talking up the white women. The bouncers comply with these views.

Mother's should be sued for being a tacky tourist joint that places crappy music. I first heard of mother's when I saw the movie "About last night" I thought it was just a regular bar. Was I in for a big surprise and disappointment when I went there.
