Man, there must be rich people here to think that Jewels is cheap unless they don't comparison shop Jewels to other places. I think Jewels is a big ripoff with their prices unless their stuff is on sale. They're the best place to get Ben & Jerry's because of selection, but only on $3.50 sales. Like one time I saw a lady look in shock at the prices of nonsale refrigerated coffee creamers...

Jewel's 93% Lean Ground Beef can't match Aldi's $2.89 / lb price!

Only thing good about Jewel's is selection... But if I want real selection then I just shop everywhere!

the one that caught my eye was filet mignon for $4.99/pound. You can't buy a t-bone in NC for that!!!

and, milk for 1.99/gal. WOW. Our cheapest milk is $2.89/gal (at Sam's club)

Maybe I should treat myself to filet mignon! Just don't know how to cook it! Do you pan fry it?

Milk is $1.79 /gal at Aldi. Used to be $1.49 when gas was cheaper!

Most people on this board are considered well off (IMHO)

Is Jewel seriously not cheap enough??? I would go to Aldi's but I know they wouldn't have 1/2 of the stuff I want, and I'd expect whatever they had to taste poorly and be packed with money-saving artificial flavors and preservatives.

I've only set foot in an Aldi's once... it was the one in Uptown before they replaced it with a new store. I went in there once out of curiosity... walked through the entire store, looked at everything they had, and didn't see anything I would want to buy. Decided I wasn't missing anything by not shopping there. But that's just me, I guess.

He's proud of his bikes. It's good exercise. I would not ride a $1000 bike to any grocery store and depend upon it being there when I left to go home. .

Aldi's is garbage- you aren't missing anything. Better off going to Food 4 Less if there's one nearby
