I used to live in Gary, Indiana. On weekends and in the summer, my stepmother would take us to Chicago to go shopping and every year to the Taste of Chicago... One thing I miss though is Jay's potato chips (hotstuff and plain) and need to know how to get some, or even Evans potato chips if I could get those. Are they still in business? Do they have a website? There was also some amazing popcorn place, I forget the name...(Garrett's?) they had the best cheese and carmel popcorn ever!! I also miss the all beef hotdogs with the buns that had those little poppy seeds, but now I'm stretching it a bit!

Any info would be appreciated...

Here's the Garrett Popcorn Website where you can mail-order their popcorn.

There's a Garrett store right across the street from my school. Dangerous for my wallet...

Wow, I didn't know Jays made Krunchers. I thought it was a national brand... those things are wicked.

Funny story about Jay's Potato Chips. The family behind it is the Japp family and my bro-in-law went to college with one of the grandsons. For years, Japp Family Foods did really well and then Pearl Harbor happened. They changed their name to Jay's.

if you're near a Big Lots in Atl. they might have them. I've found them in the ones near Nashville.
