I'm a male, I have two-tone shoes, brown and black. what color shirt and jeans would go well with that. i was wearing dark jeans and a bold red shirt and was told that it didn't go well at all. I'm interested in fashion and want to wear what's right, but am not very good at it i guess. would the shoes be good with lighter colors?

I don't believe C-D forums has a fashion forum. If you want to match colors, you need to buy a 'color wheel'. Learn to use it and you will never mis-match colors again.

Basically black and white are neutral colors that can be paired with any other color. Brown is a secindary color. Orange, yellow, beige, black, green or white should go nicely with brown, but not blue, red or purples. Do not mix seconary colors. The result is not usually very good. .

If you want your shirt to draw the eye, wear bold. If you want your shows to make a statement do not wear bold colors.

Not everyone can successfully wear yellow, or bold prints. But we can wear muted prints and soft colors. If you want people to notice your face, have a great hair cut or style, or jewelry. HIghlight what you want people to notice and don't worry about the rest.

As for the shoes, it is not uncommon for western boots to be two colors - if snakeskin is invloved. Spats were black and white in the day. . .

Maybe that's being a bit harsh, but maybe not. Those are hiking shoes, if you're looking for a casual look off the mountain, perhaps you should consider something less trail ready and rugged. Those would go with cargo pants well.
