South Brooklyn to be exact....

I've been told North Side?

Oh, and in terms of population density, culture, diversity...

NOT rent prices.

uh, brooklyn is a huge place, I've stayed in and visited a few parts of it (greenpoint, bed stuy, williamsburg, park slope, brooklyn heights) what part of brooklyn are you looking for an equivalent to?

Are you talking like Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, Coney Island area, where you find really diverse, family driven neighborhoods? Cause I would say Edgewater, Rogers Park, Hyde Park in Chicago may be comparable.

I would compare Bensonhurst with Bridgeport. With the old time Italians, Croatian and Irish being next to the newer asian and latin immigrants.

I'm Bronx raised. Brooklyn was always terra incognita so I can't give out exact info. West Rogers Park probably is like Brooklyn -- except there is a lake, parking and no Prospect Park. It has the Lubavitchers and some Russians, though. So it may make Brooklynites feel at home.
