I am not stuck on anything. When people ask about the weather I amswer honsetly.

You are ay too emotional and defensive when people speak objectively of weather short-comings in Chicago.

Again with Earthquake stuff...pretty juvenile don't ya think?

Chicago has great summers(others complain about the heat in Chicago in summer, I haven't)....albeit short summers. Early winter and fall are fine. Janueary through the end of May are not. And, Chicago is not a very sunny city in general. Those are facts.

BTW...the low temp for Atlanta in 2006 was 19 ....and a week later temps were in mid to high 70's.

No comparison with Chicago, none.

Because you are on the Chicago board you canand should be a homer....? sigh...

You're embellishing quite a bit. Yes, the weather here sucks March to mid-April. March is definately my least favorite month of the year because of the way you'll get teases of warmer weather, but in general, weather is cloudy in the 40's. But from mid-April through May, the weather is generally pretty pleasant. This april, it was colder than normal, but that wasn't confined to just Chicago. Much of the country saw some very cool temps in April.

So yeah, homerism and all that aside, there is a spring in Chicago. It isn't as long as anyone would like it, but it's not as non-existant as you seem intent on describing it.

Some wonderful different neighborhoods in city of Chicago. It is nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as SF overall from a natural standpoint but does have a very nice downtown and lakefront area.

Thanks Fish for your objectivity. I appreciate your comments.

I also appreciate Steve's comments and his passion towards the city.

Can we play nice now?

Wow.... I kinda thought Italian Beef was an all-American thing.... it's so common around here I had no reason to think otherwise.... I guess it's much more of a Chicago thing?

Italian Beef probably is more of a Chicago thing, just like a 16" softball and wearing gym shoes instead of sneakers.
