I'll be moving into the city of Chicago next week from the DC area where I have been a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and I've been involved in other government work helping to keep the country and its people safe. I'll be looking for full-time work exclusively in the private sector in Chicago, but I want to still be able to help people in the area in a law enforcement capacity. I've been looking around a bit on the internet to try and compile a list of communities in the immediate Chicago area that have sworn reserve officers to assist their department, but I'm not having a whole lot of luck. I'm actually a bit shocked that the City of Chicago itself does not have an unpaid reserve force considering their budget problem; I would think they would want all the free help they could get.

Does anyone here have any information regarding communities in the immediate (within about 15 miles of the city limits) Chicago area that have reserve police corps?

Thanks much!

For sure Rosemont Illinois. They have about about 100 or more reserve officers to work the conventions and concerts that go on there. Not sure how "clout heavy" those positions ore though. It would be worth looking into though.

Thank Brahern!

It looks like their website is being repaired or something. I'll definitely look into Rosemont.

Anyone else have additional suggestions?

Thanks!
