Rogers Park has a metra stop as well,
and you will be able to find a decent apt for 700 there,
Plus unlike edgewater it has a beach

you're right, but if he/she has a choice in between these two, definitely Edgewater is the best choice

by the way, edgewater does have a beach...you enter right at thorndale and sheridan.

I just think that for someone that's just moving to Chicago, Edgewater is a better place to live. After they get accustomed with the Chicago areas, they could try Rogers Park .

this is just a personal opinion, of course
