I know 2011 is far away from now, but I'd figure I can do the research now.
I'm 31 yrs old, I sing, play guitar, bass, drums, production and love to paint and make art. Also a lot of small projects like web design, photoshop, music production and SFX for film. My city (Miami) has left me no option but to move to......well......a REAL city. My family is from Chicago and they tell me that's where I should move to so I'll be relocating with my wife in 2011 as she completes her Med School journey. Hopefully I'll be taking All-Star Dwyane Wade with me

Any tips as to where I can get decent gigs for either art or music would be appreciated. Do you have to pay to play? Are there art shows year-round?
Looking forward to your beautiful city. Thanks.
