Is this a decent neighborhood? We are relocating from CA and are considering renting a house in this area. Anyone know?

Depending on which side of Narraganset you're in, you could be in Chicago or Harwood Heights (I believe).

Anyways, as soon as you cross eastward, you're in Portage Park or Jefferson Park. I'd be fine with that area. It seems pretty quiet over there.

If you can go even further West, the better. Depending on where you're at around Montrose and Naragansett. It used to be very middle class, but some gang bangers are slowing making their way in. I'm not saying its a dangerous area in the least, very safe, but just 411. Edison Park and Norwood Park are even nicer, lots of city workers, good schools, and very quiet. There are also some nice bars on Northwest highway, if that's your thing.

If you're concerned, shoot me an email through here. I grew up in Jeff Park, and also spent a lot of time living in Edison Park.
