Hi guys,
My wife and I are moving to chicago next month.
we would like to rent a place close to UIC.
I found 2 places till now.
1. Blue Island Ave
2. Cicero . 60804
Are those places safe (day and night time)?
If there are other nice neighborhoods or areas around UIC I'de love to read about it.

Thanks

cicero is not really considered a safe place. its not the worst either though. blue island ave., would probably be good by UIC, but probably not north of the expressway.

Blue Island and Cicero Avenue are long streets. We'll at least need block numbers. If you mean "Cicero" as in the city of Cicero and not the street... again, an approximate address would be useful. Cicero by and large is not a great place but most of it is at least livable. I personally wouldn't mind living near the Pink Line station in Cicero if I didn't have kids to worry about, but I'd have to be getting a hell of a deal on a house or apartment to live some place so (relatively) dull.
