why is the L running so slow lately? Is this normal?
When I first arrived about 2 weeks ago, the red line ran much faster than it does currently. Was there an accident or something? If so, how long does it take to get back to normal?

Two weeks? That's hardly a sample. You'll soon figure out that the El runs at different speeds from day to day, or from hour to hour--often without any explanation. Enjoy!

The L is nothing more than Termites holding hands. They move the trains so slow because they have a tendency to fall off the tracks and break the rail ties.

Now be fair. It's been more than thirty years since an El car fell off the tracks.

It's been more than 30 years since al L car fell off the structure, but falling off the tracks in a derailment sense happens a few times a year typically. Most derailments don't even result in injuries (although some do), but they are technically defined by when the car "falls off the tracks" onto the ties.
