Or will the Sears Tower keep that status all to itself? I've just read that the bean is the most visited/photographed structure in the city. I've also noticed that a lot of the "best cities" listings always have photos of the bean when mentioning Chicago...

The Bean belongs more in Boston. How did it end up in Chicago?

It helps that it's free to visit and easy to find. When I have family and friends visit it's not the first thing anyone asks to see but they get around to asking eventually.

I always liked the John Hancock building better, but everyone asks to go to Sears tower.

There is a big difference between the most visited cheesy tourst attraction trap and most famous landmark.

It's not there yet. I had to google it just to get a photo and a bit of info on just what it was you were talking about.

Most of us out-of-towners are still way more familiar with the Sears Tower (and isn't that called the Willis Tower now?) or your Picasso sculpture.
