Have any of you ever eaten at Miller's Pub on S. Wabash? I walk past it everyday and have wanted to try it out. Would it be a good, not too expensive place to go for a birthday dinner on a Friday night?
Thanks!

Yes, several times. Great meatloaf and burgers! Good beer selection. Bar area is very cool but can get very packed after work because of a weird layout.

I eat there regularly and LOVE the place, good food, but great atmosphere. I love the Club sandwich.

Thanks for the input. I am glad to hear it's a good place. I haven't been to Exchequer either. Might have to look into that place also. Which would you recommend for a steak? Would we need reservations at either place on a Friday?
Thanks again!

It's very old school. The same with the Exchequer. I used to work down there, and would occasionally hit the Exchequer for happy hours. They had this awesome waiter with a wild mullet and Elvis-like bejeweled eyeglasses.

Definitely NOT the Exchequer. It's more dive-bar with pizza and fried stuff.

It's pretty decent... I like another M pub though in the loop... Monk's pub, excellent burgers.

I think that Miller's Pub and the Exchequer are BOTH excellent choices. You will never find any really innovative items on teh menu BUT they do all of the classics really well. After 8 pm, the place generally clears out on most evenings.
