it never seems to fail. some thug gets arrested and his mom comes out, complaining to the media that her son is an angel who makes the honor roll, is a Boy Scout, helps old ladies with their heavy shopping bags, and rescues kittens from trees. never mind the evidence that often prove otherwise, like their long rap sheet

good for Mr Wortham for shooting the guy. her thug son was part of a group that shot and killed a man. you don't shoot a dangerous suspect in the foot and hope he won't shoot back. and in this case, the poor man may have been reacting more as a grieved father who saw his son get shot down and less like a retired cop.

I think the cop's father was justified in shooting the suspect. In a situation like that, you just shoot to protect yourself/family member and are not actually thinking about where you are shooting the suspect. Her son should not have been out there trying to rob someone in the first place. I do not feel sorry for her loosing her son and I think it is very disrespectful to the cop's family for her to even display an outcry like that. The cop, not the suspect, is the innocent individual that was killed.
