Thank you June. I have this terrible habit of always thinking the worst. I did take your advice however and post on a pooch forum. It could be a lot of things....ticks...mange, we shall take one day at a time and I will try and remain calm and optimistic
June hopes you get some good responses on the Dog Forum. Those folks are pros, and helped June a lot when she was concerned about Misha. Believe it or not, a lot of people have the same habit of thinking the worst. Hell, even June does! When she found blood on Misha's muzzle, she panicked, and immediately resorted in her mind to the "worst case scenario." It is literally as though our minds "play tricks" with us at times, only later on to prove us wrong! It's something that's just sort of automatic, and sometimes difficult to keep it all in perspective, as these are animals that we love as much as life, itself! --But just try and stay calm, and let the anti-biotics do their thing, and see what the "pros" up in Pets have to say!
Am thinking of you and your doggie! Hang in there, my friend!

I am known to be a worry wart in my family. Interesting how you are a "shrink" and you still worry a lot too. Shrinks are only human after all eh?
Oh, the poor thing!!! My heart goes out to him and to you! Hang in there. What I usually try to do is imagine the worst thing that could happen - plan what I would do and how I would handle it - let got of that and try to hope for the best. We are still waiting for Cookie's biopsy of some odd looking moles to come back so I know how much it sucks to wait.

Check out my poor pooch.... hope this works.
Oh my goodness, I hope they also gave him a "doggie tranquilizer" to calm him! His poor muzzle! I so hope the medications help! Does he have an appetite? Is he otherwise acting like his "usual self" as those would be good signs!
~Oh, and yes, even we shrinks have been known to worry to excess over our beloved dogs, and/or for that matter, over a lot of things! We're definately human, as well, trust me!
It's a Saturday night, for goodness sake, and June is home, no date, and watching re-runs of "The Golden Girls" all the while that she is getting a 'jump start' on making the homemade soup that she'll be serving to her dinner guests tomorrow night...And worst of all? June's lovin' it! ("The Golden Girls" are a hoot, although "cooking" is not exactly June's forte!)

June: Woman who doesn't have a life!
I remember this sitcom very well...loved Bea Arthur and Estelle (forgot the last name), used to watch it all the time...
As to your claim of "not having a life", another of just June's "deliberate" misrepresentation of herself?.........
Oddly enough, June never liked "I Love Lucy." She remembers watching it as a child, and as an adult, and for some bizarre reason she just never cared for it. Weirder yet, she never even found it funny!
June: Woman with a weird sense of humor?
