I have (at times) considered changing the name due to some who are prone to make fun of it...especially in Christian forum no less .... but just can't. For now I say with Job:

I'm sorry for your losses, twin.spin. I know how much I loved my babies before they were born.

This may be long, but you asked so...

The name sparrow has a lot of meaning for me. I've had this screenname for about 7 years or so in various forums over the years.

1. The main reason I chose this name has to do with something concerning a sparrow bird that took place just as my mother was dying back when I was a teen in '89. Something that happened that I remember clear as a bell to this day. It's personal and very special to me.
2. God notes the death of a sparrow. and I am glad. I'm glad that He cares about His creation enough to note the death of such a small, seemingly insignifcant little bird. How much more are WE wrapped in His caring arms, How much more does God note our deaths? How much more does God care for those He created in His image...? Knowing He cares about His creation, even the smallest among us makes me love Him that much more. Makes me love those around me that much more. Makes me see the value in EVERY life He has created.
3. sparrows are small, plain, humble looking little birds. They aren't loud (most of the time), they aren't brightly colored. They do nothing extraordinary.. they just ARE.
4. I am wild bird lover and sparrows are my favorite, always have been.
5. sparrows can fly... they are free.
6. Psalm 102:7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top. I can relate and often feel this way. Don't worry, I'm not sad. This is just who I am. I'm quite peaceful up there most of the time.
7. Lastly, sparrows are small but they have powerful beaks.

peace,
sparrow
