LOL...the poster above said that departing from the scriptrues being the final word is neccessary for progress to experiencing God.

You merely prove my point.

On what basis do you believe the Scriptures to be completely literally true?

I guess Paul was out of luck since he didn't have all the scriptures, and since he chose not to listen to doctrines of men for the first year or so after he came to know Christ.

Fundamental christianity departed from this kind of faith centuries ago .

Just a little food for thought...if you're interested. The only thing that separates a Christian believer from a Muslim believer is GEOGRAPHY. If you had been raised in a Muslim country, with Muslim parents, who raised you in the Muslim faith, you be spewing the same rhetoric about the Quran. Indoctrination is a scary business.

I know what you are saying and what you are not saying by this . When Paul said the unsearchable riches of Christ , it's obvious there is more to be discovered . Camps dons his tin hat and runs for cover.

This life will end shortly. Then what? Departing from the scriptrues being the final word is fatal if one hopes to make any kind of progress towards the afterlife.

Then what...NO ONE DEFINITIVELY KNOWS what will happen once one dies. You hope, based on what a book tells you...but NO ONE truly knows.

Like I said previously...the only thing that separates you from someone who believes in another religion is GEOGRAPHY...think about that and ponder it critically.
