It seems the forum is divided into URers and ETers - haven't seen many Conditionalists/Annihilationists about the place. It seems it's rather unpopular in comparison, even though I believe it's most consistent with what the Bible teaches. Any thoughts?

Well the two overlap a bit, and I'm not sure if many Conditionalists are not actually Annihilationists.
Basically, Conditionalists believe we are not naturally immortal (or don't have an immortal soul) and eternal life (in heaven OR hell) is conditional on being 'saved.' Annihilationists emphasize God actively destroying or annihilating the sinner.

Interesting. I think both of those would fit into UR actually. Because as we see with Saul.. he was Saul and the new man, Paul, emerged. So annihilation would be a good description of what happened to Saul and Paul would be a great example of UR.
And like that is that believers will SEE life but all men are justified unto life. All men are saved but not all men see they are saved. Similar to conditionalists, I suppose, except that in the end it doesn't matter what they see.. salvation is for all men. God wills all to be saved. God's will be done.
I am both a conditionalist and a universalist, the soul is not immortal, God alone is immortal, I do not believe in the survival of the soul at death, the soul perishes with the body, as the dead body remains in the earth, the dead soul remains in sheol
I believe however that God will raise all the dead, some to the ressurection of life, some to the ressurection of judgment, at the end, God will grant immortal life to all

Can you describe why you think it's most consistent with what the Bible teaches? That might help spark discussion. I for one am not familiar enough with the terms to respond, but I'd like to know more. Thanks!

Basically, it boils down to how the Bible warns destruction for those who will not repent - destruction in it's plain meaning, not meaning 'never destroyed but tormented', metaphorical destruction, spiritual death or any such concepts not expressly taught in Scripture.
