Do you have the witness IN you? Do you hear Christ, the Spirit of the Father arising in you, leading you into all peace and love and righteousness?
Or are you living on bread alone, believing that you can find life in the Scriptures, without the Spirit in you to guide you?
The Rock is that testimony through personal experience, which shall rise up in every man, bruising the serpent (flesh), making the whole creation in harmony with the Father.
The sand is the doctrines of men, teaching things that they do not understand (and that for hire), because they are not listening to God within them.
Are you following the cloud? Or are you eating yesterday's old manna?

The same rock that accompanied the children of Israel in the wilderness , is now accompanying us now in the very depth of our being(Christ in you).
This is where the believers draws from for his daily bread . Unfortunately for many they think the bible is a rock , yet the scriptures are clear Christ is the rock, (the source of our meat and drink).

Luke 4:1-8 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, if thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD.
I have always taken this passage at face value: food of the flesh and worldly things. Your version potrays an aspect I'd never considered before...thanks for sharing.

11 And IN THEIR HANDS THEY SHALL BEAR THEE UP, LEST AT ANY TIME THOU DASH THY FOOT AGAINST A STONE.
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, THOU SHALT NOT TEMPT THE LORD THY GOD. (noticed that although it was Jesus who was tempted...he answered with "THOU SHALT NOT TEMPT THE LORD THY GOD".
Here Jesus proclaimed his Majesty. (Psalm 91:11-12...the only Psalm Satan have quoted) IMHO
