Try using that built in spell-checker - it is very handy. The love is just oozing from you with all your booming out verses from the book of Exodus! With people like you multiplied by the hundreds of thousands, it is no wonder that many people want nothing to do with God. Why would anyone be drawn to a person who is constantly dripping with animosity?
Did you ever read that scripture that says to seek peace and ensue it and to try with all you have to be at peace with ALL men. The problem you have is that you obviously believe that our war IS against other human beings. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are spiritually dead.

Ask yourself this ... what if a president didn't honor Martin Luther King Day, would he be applauded by the same crowd here?
The name of the Judge who declared it unconstitutional was Crabb.

Quote:
Last month, a U.S. District Judge in Wisconsin ruled that the government-sanctioned event, established by Congress and marked with a proclamation from the president, is unconstitutional.
Crabb's decision resulted from a lawsuit filed by a group of atheists and agnostics called the Freedom From Religion Foundation, who complained that the government did not have the right to tell them to pray.

And I will add that I was disappointed when my colleagues on the left mocked President Obama for suggesting people pray about the Gulf of Mexico disaster. Obama IS a Christian. He may not be the 'flavor' of Christian that everyone wants him to be, but wow - what ever happened to freedom of religion? There is fierce animosity on both the left and the right, unfortunately.
America was founded on Deism and Lady Liberty, the goddess of old, representing liberty FROM religion, really. It wanted to get AWAY from England and the religious structures of old. Our founders believed in a higher power, but not much else. The churches it put out on every corner were put there to subdue an unruly population through fear and brainwashing. It produced the citizens it wanted, politically, also. It still does.
It has produced Christians in name only. Mostly what it produces is murder, war, porn, and huge corporations.
It wasn't called the wild west for nothing.
Mockery is what that is. Although, I'd say it's closer to blasphemy.
Here, here! Well said. Americans have really been severely dumbed down. It's sad and pathetic and irritating. Sheesh!

I understand what your point is...but still doesn't justify.
A christian (or claims to be a christian) politician today should understand that other political leaders (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) risked taking the heat for refusing to bow to a false god.
The poltical landscape is nothing but a reflection of it's people.
As Jesus said: "He who is not with me is against me"Luke 11:23

FYI:
This isn't political ... every president from Truman to Bush W. attended the National Day of Prayer.
Kennedy...Johnson ...Carter .... Clinton attended every year.
Eisenhower ... Nixon ... Ford .... Reagan .... Bush .... Bush attended every year.
Last time I checked, there is not and never has been any religious test to be President of this country.
Choosing not to attend a religious ritual is irrelevant to his status or qualifications as POTUS.
I believe God cares very much. You can see around us what happens to a nation, or world, when you remove God from the focus of government stability,
You sure can! Typically, the quality of life of all that country's citizens increases, personal and religious freedoms flourish, children excel in academics...

Indeed, mainly due to Christian meddling in government, media and academics (particularly in history and science).
