Hi everyone!
We've all heard about Adam. He made a mistake, and now all the world is condemned.

But what the church doesn't tell you, is that the story of the world didn't end there.

Christ Jesus was the "Last Adam." He was a new Adam, in the sense that what He did had a similar "global" effect on the whole world. Just in the "opposite" direction.

So, as Adam #1 put everyone into condemnation and sin, so Adam #2 put everyone into justification and Life! (see romans 5)

THAT is the Good News!

Blessings to all,
brian

So, when you look around you, don't say within your hearts, "woe, how man is fallen!" i, too, used to do this, and the old nature still wants to think this.

Jesus Christ has put a new nature imto the world. All men before Adam were born into the condemnation that Adam brought.
But now, thanks to God's unspeakable gift, all mankind is born into the New Nature, and that New Nature must come forth, and will; that the Sons of God may be manifest. This is the second coming, and just as the First Adam spread into all the earth, so this Last Adam shall spread into all the earth.

Blessings,
brian

Which Adam? The one written about thousands of years before the Bible?

Adam polluted the entire earth (mankind) by his disobedience. But the Second and Last Adam had already been prepared, ready to purify the earth through His obedience, and revealed to us in due time.

As Adam #1 polluted mankind, and set the world out of order.
Christ Jesus, or Adam #2, purified mankind, and will continue to purify it unto the full manifestation of the Sons of God.

So although we still see the works of the first Adam, which has been destroyed, yet we are to look for Christ arising more and more in mankind, as it is the Lord Himself in us, our Righteousness, who will restore mankind to his place as Sons of God.

This is why we are to exort one another unto good works, and to be reconciled to God, who has already reconciled us to Himself. He who doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

Blessings,
brian

Very interesting...and just proves once again how syncretistic the bible and it's stories actually are. Archeology is a wonderful thing.

I noticed it was glossed over or ignored by other posters...but that's typical fare.

I am very interested in seeing your perspective Brian...especially in consideration of the fact that this predates the bible narrative by a loooonnnnnngggg time.
