I'm marrying the missus next year. That's the plan.

She's not a catholic, but a christian. More like the "spiritual but not religious" category. The cassocks will raise a huge red flag or so I learned.

What are the chances I can find a priest I can bribe to perform a catholic wedding?

If Henry VIII can do it, Tony can. I'm fitter than him and more handsome

Cheer me up, folks. I know I'll marry her. But....... is my Catholicism slowly flying out of the window??

Heck no, I still go to church every Sunday. And receive communion. So cheer me up without giving me any guilt trip

Only one person has to be Catholic to get married in a Catholic church. They'll marry you.

That's what I thought.

This is how it rolls in India too. They just raise red flags only if the person is hindu or muslim.

But one of her friends is catholic and she told her they would require her to go thru six weeks of wedding classes and training, etc.

I dunno if American churches are stricter

Marry who you love, enjoy your life together, screw religion if it tells you otherwise.

You can do it in one weekend, that is what I did.
The whole thing be it the 6 weeks or weekend gig is pretty stupid, but that is what you have to do if you want to be married in a Catholic Church.
Better off not getting married, its more fun to live in sin
